TASK 18. Explain and demonstrate a "saltwater type cast". Start with fly in hand, and about 20 to 25 feet of line extended from the rod tip. Shoot to 60 feet with no more than 3 0r 4 false casts.

There are 2 versions of this cast. SALTWATER 1 and SALTWATER 2. You should be able to execute both with little difficulty. Saltwater 1 puts the fly in the anglers hand with the 25ft fly line hanging loosely outside of the rod tip. Salt water 2 uses a series of loops held in the casters line hand prior to the cast. For either cast it is very important that the explanation of what you are doing exactly matches your physical actions.
