11. Demonstrate the Single Spey. As is the case with all "roll"
type casts that require an "anchor," allowances will be made
if not performed on water.
As seen in the video clip, the caster first repositions the line upstream allowing the D loop to be formed and positioned 180 degrees from the intended target plane. The cast finishes with the forward casting stroke. This is only intended as a bare bones description of a Single Spey. |
