CAST 8. Demonstrate SLOW, MEDIUM and FAST false casting on command. 35 to 40 feet.

A good exercise for loop control, varying the speed of the cast from slow to fast when prompted demonstrates to the examiner that you understand the root cause of tailing loops. If you progressively increase your casting speed but do not lengthen your casting stroke a tailing loop will be the result. No tailing loops are allowed after initial pick up.
